Relay For Life – this Saturday
As some of you may already know, I’ve entered a new chapter in my life and I am now a proud mother and wife. I never imagined this is where I would be but despite of all the blessings, I continue to face this dreadful “C” word – yes, Cancer…it continues to be around us all! I want you to know that with the help of our Team Donovan Committee, we continue to fight this fight, stay dedicated, and remember Kevin and all of those we lost or have been affected by this disease. Someday there will be a cure and we can’t do this without your continued support!!! Our theme this year is “Vegas, Baby” but this time, whatever happens in relay, doesn’t stay in Relay! So let’s spread this fight to find a cure!
We are now officially only 5 DAYS AWAY from this year’s event and I continue to urge you to make a difference! Remember, everything counts and no effort or donation is too small. We know how rough times are right now but like I said nothing is too small!
How can you continue to help:
- Register on the Relay For Life site and help raise funds by donating and getting your friends and family to donate
- Even if you’re not attending, you can still support by donating
- We have e-bay stuff we just posted with all the cool sports memorabilia.
- Donate food or drinks for the event, contact Jen or me
- Donate merchandise for the general store or get us in touch if you know someone who can donate, contact Jen or me
For those of you who are attending, some things to know:
- NEW LOCATION: Lincoln Elementary School in Redondo Beach
- There will be games being held by ACS so check our the agenda that is also on our site.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jen Tardiff or you can contact me as well.
All my best to all of you and I can’t wait to see you guys. Now let’s kick some cancer butts!
Marianne

Wishing you and your team all the best. You’re doing something very worthwhile. For a little added inspiration, I encourage you to check out this brief video — ahamoment.com/pg/moments/view/1848 — it’s one woman’s “aha moment” that should serve as a reminder of the importance of what you’re doing by participating in Relay for Life. I hope you enjoy it. The site, by the way, was created by Mutual of Omaha to highlight good works, inspirational stories, and “aha moments” of all kinds. Enjoy and best of luck.
Thanks,
